Breakfast at the World Hunger Café

Slide into a booth
At the World Hunger Café
We stir our hot coffee
And stir up the planet

Waitress appears
(hemp apron tied over combat fatigues)
What’ll it be?

Two orders of grilled distribution
(if there’s enough to go around)

World peace, sunny side up

Ecofeminist pancakes
(with organic maple syrup)

Sustainable development, overeasy

Biodiversity omelet

Toasted political stability

Bottomless empathy
(if it’s fresh)

I know it’s a tall order
But we’ve got a full table
And we’re really starving this morning
