A Robin Skelton Tribute (October 10-14, 2007)

The Malahat Review celebrates its fortieth year in print this October (2007) and also marks the tenth anniversary of the death of Robin Skelton, the magazine’s co-founder and long-time editor.”

It’s happening in Victoria — the party, the talk (by Robert Bringhurst), the gala (with Marilyn Bowering, Robert Bringhurst, Linda Rogers, Harold Rhenisch, Neile Graham, Derk Wynand, and Rhonda Batchelor reading), and the puppet show (Tim Gosley performs “Robin Skelton: A Living Collage”).

Calgary International Spoken Word Festival

Eden Mills Writers' Festival

“The Eden Mills Writers’ Festival was founded in 1989 and has taken place annually since then. GCTC: The Four Horsemen Project

Individual World Poetry Slam

“On January 31, 2007, 72 poets will converge on the streets of Vancouver, British Columbia where they will duke it out poetically until one remains standing as the Individual World Poetry Slam Champion!!! … IWPS is an international Poetry Slam competition featuring 72 of the world’s best poetry slammers, competing for cash, publication honours, and bragging rights….
