Saskatchewan Writers Guild

“Founded in 1969, the Saskatchewan Writers Guild is a province-wide organization representing writers in all disciplines and at all levels of development. It is one of the largest writers organizations in Canada with a membership of over 500. The Guild’s mission is to improve the status of the writer in Saskatchewan.”

Many Canadian writers are grateful for the writing colonies at St. Peter’s Abbey and Christopher Lake, and the individual retreats at St. Peter’s Abbey. These are programs of the Saskatchewan Writers Guild: “For nearly thirty years, the Saskatchewan Writers and Artists Colony has served thousands of Saskatchewan and Canadian writers and artists by providing a quiet refuge where creative people can come together and practise their craft.”
